The youngest of five daughters, born to an Air Force family in Warner Robins, Georgia, Bobbie began her entertainment carrer as a young girl performing as part of her sister' singing group. She joined her first professional band when she was 16-year-old as the lead singer in a traditional country and blue grass band near Macon, Georgia.

Later, following her sisters' footsteps, Bobbie competed in the Miss Georgia Pageant, and was the second sister in the family to win the title of Miss Georgia and emerged from the Miss America Pageant as a top ten finalist.

She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career. She sang with various band, and was the laed singer in the signing group "Big Trouble", and recorded her first album with them, entitled "Big Trouble".

While promoting the album, Bobbie appeared on American Bandstand, was a guest VeeJay on MTV, and performed in vanues across the United States and in Europe including the Montreux Pop Festival in Switzerland.

It was during this time that Bobbie began building her television credits with guest roles on "Cheers", "Jake and the Fatman", "Matlock", "Full House", "21 Jumpstreet", and etc.

Bobbie joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" as Macy Alexander in April 1989, and has been able to explore her character battling through many problems, including a mother-daughter relationship, alcholism, and throat cancer, while always struggling to find happiness with the love of her life, Thorne Forrester.
In 1998, she earned the Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

While portraying Macy on "The Bold and the Beautiful" , Bobbie added theater to her credits with the title role in the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera production of Rogers; and Hammerstein's Cinderella at Meadows with Ross Marie and Jeff Trachta (ex-thorne , "The bold nd the beautiful"), and the hollywood's Pantages with Steve Allen; and the lead role in Love Letters at the cannon Theater in Los Angeles.

Bobbie, who recently guest starred in an apisode of Land's End, currently can be seen in a few national commercials and is also enjoying the European double-platinum succes of her CD, "Bold and Beautiful Duets" recorded with Jeff Trachta. Bobbie and Jeff completed the follow-up CD, which was released in Europe the fall of 1996.

As a solo artist, Bobbie performed at the 1996 StarFest, alongside such country singers as Billy Ray Cyrus, Tammy Wynette and Martina McBride.

Bobbie released her first solo album in 1998, entitled "Here And Now".

Bobbie is currently working on her second solo album, and has already released the first single - a duet with multi-platinum country artist, Collin Raye - "Tired of Loving This Way".

Bobbie lives in suburban Los Angeles with her husband, writer David Steen, and her cat Elvis.
